We love Terry Treetop books in our house! They always teach a good lesson and are colorful and fun. My daughter especially loves them because she can read them all by herself. This particular book is an absolute pleasure to read to my kids because it really teaches the importance of thinking of the environment and others.
As Terry Treetop often does, he climbs a tree while on vacation with his family. He spots a group of dolphins and befriends the littlest one. He sees him learning new tricks and they are immediately intrigued and interested in each other. Unfortunately, Terry’s new little dolphin friend ends up trapped in a net left in the ocean and Terry has to save him.
This book teaches a great lesson about not littering and considering other creatures on our planet, and also thinking of others. This book says it is for k-3 or 3-8 years old and I think it is spot on! My daughter (6) loves to read this book on her own, but my sons 2.5 and 4 really enjoy reading this book with me as well and they are all eating it up and love the colorful illustrations. I really enjoyed reading this book to my children and love seeing my daughter read it on her own!
