The first thing I noted about this HUGE package of individually packaged seeds (each veggie has it’s own packet), is the variety. There is about 30 types of assorted vegetables and herbs included in the Ark Survival Seeds package and each has it’s own purpose towards the balance of our diet. There are lettuces, beans, peas, catnip (for tea or kitty), assorted herbs, tomatoes, radishes, carrots, cucumbers and so much more! Each packet has about 250 seeds (give or take) and some of them include suggested uses (such as the catnip).
The seeds produce some of the most delicious vegetables I have ever seen. I don’t have the best soil, so grew some veggies indoors (the survival guide gives some great indoor planting tips/facts) such as the tomatoes and peppers and they are growing beautifully and are delicious. These seeds are great for anyone looking to plant a garden or prepare for hard times. With it’s super helpful guide (which I enjoyed because it is so much more than about the seeds) planting and growing the vegetables is easy because they tell you exactly what you need to do all the way down to the harvesting.
Each seed packet is clearly marked with planting and harvesting instructions making them “dummy proof” which is great for me because I tend to have the ominous “black thumb”. Even I am able to do this, which goes to show any one could! It gives details down to how much sun each seed/plant should get, the best weather to plant them in, when to harvest and how, and how often to water. I absolutely believe these seeds to be a great value. I believe this not only because I have had the opportunity to try them or have eaten some of the delicious fruits of my labor, but also because it comes with over 7500 seeds that you can use some of and store the rest in a dry, cool place. On top of that, the complimentary Survival Guide tells you how to collect and prepare seeds for the next year, so instead of investing in more seeds, you can reap your own from the vegetables you have already grown and harvested. This is great because it saves you a ton of money and is actually quite easy to do. (common way to prepare seeds is to dry on a plate) They truly are sending seeds to prepare for survival and they are heirloom making them some of the best seeds available. (non GMO, non Hybrid etc)
